I’ve been working with Angie for nearly 6 years now at the West Des Moines Marriott. Des Moines hosts various soccer tournaments in both the spring in fall representing about 7 different weekends.
For me as a hotel person, it’s nice to know that the Tournament Directors in Des Moines recognize the value in outsourcing the housing for their events. Leave the experts to do their stuff!! It works great because the Tournament Directors can focus on the event, the hotels don’t have to get a zillion calls and emails about guest room availability and the Team Coordinators can do everything through 1 person…its like “One Stop Shopping”!!! Let’s face it….no one has much time any more. So it’s nice for the Team Coordinator to make 1 contact, get your rooms booked, and have that same point of contact for the rooming list and any concerns or questions that come up along the way." |
